Duke football commit Andrew Jones has shot up the recruiting rankings after the latest player rankings were released for the Class of 2021.
In today’s world, everyone gets caught up in recruiting rankings and recruiting classes, and rightfully so, but the latest update from the Top247 Rankings will surely bring a smile to the faces of Duke football fans.
Class of 2021 commit Andrew Jones rocketed up the rankings by 450 sports, now settling in as the No. 129 player in the country and the top offensive lineman in the state of North Carolina.

Jones is also ranked as the No. 19 offensive tackle in the rising senior class and No. 10 prospect in North Carolina, regardless of position.
The Pfafftown, North Carolina native is currently the only offensive lineman in Duke’s 11-man class for 2021 and has told 247 Sports that Arizona State, North Carolina State, and Tennessee are still in contact with him, but he plans to sign with Duke in December.
Jones certainly has his connections with the school and the football program. His mother graduated from Duke, and his uncle, Randy Jones, was inducted into the Duke Athletics Hall of Fame in 2018 after starring in football and track.
Randy Jones also was a United States Olympian, competing on the Bobsled Team, and holds a 36-year record for the fastest indoor 60-meter dash in school history.

As for Andrew Jones, he looks to be the next star athlete in his family, and while his rankings jumped in the Top247 Rankings, he is still rated as a three-star prospect in the 247 Sports Composite Rankings and the No. 411 recruit in the nation, No. 35 offensive tackle, and No. 24 player in North Carolina.
The 6-foot-4, 255-pound Reagan High School star anchors the No. 42 recruiting class in the nation and No. 11 class in the ACC for 2021.
