Potential Duke basketball target heading to powerhouse IMG Academy

A Duke basketball target will be leaving the state of North Carolina and finishing his high school career at powerhouse IMG Academy.

For the second time in as many months, a Duke basketball target announced he will be leaving the state of North Carolina and heading to a powerhouse high school program.

Class of 2022 point guard Jaden Bradley made things official after a tweet saying he would leave Cannon School after two years and head south to IMG Academy (Fla.) for his last two seasons in high school.

Bradley is a five-star prospect and ranked as the No. 9 recruit in the rising junior class as well as the No. 2 point guard and No. 1 player in the state of North Carolina, according to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings.

The 6-foot-2 point guard is a Concord, North Carolina native who holds many high-profile offers from programs such as North Carolina, Alabama, Auburn, DePaul, Florida, Florida State, Kansas, Louisville, Michigan, Tennessee, Texas Tech, Wake Forest, and Xavier.

Duke and Kentucky have been closely monitoring the recruiting process of the five-star but have not officially extended an offer.

Jaden Bradley was named as the North Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year in 2019-20.

Potential Duke target MJ Rice, a Durham native, is also making the jump from a North Carolina high school to a major high school program as the 6-foot-5 small forward is leaving Durham Academy for Oak Hill Academy (Va.)

Rice is the No. 22 prospect in the Class of 2022 and No. 6 small forward in his class, according to the 247 Sports Composite Ranking.

Mike Krzyzewski and the Duke Blue Devils have not officially offered any prospects in the Class of 2022, but that should change in the near future as June 15 marks the official date where head coaches can contact members of the rising junior class.
