Duke football quarterback Quentin Harris receives prestigious award
The former Duke football quarterback, Quentin Harris, received a prestigious award for his accomplishment on and off the field.
Quentin Harris is the perfect Duke student-athlete.
The now-former signal-caller of the Blue Devils puts in hours of hard work both on and off the field, and Harris is still being recognized for his time in Durham.

A Wilton, Connecticut native, Harris was awarded the University Scholar-Athlete award by the National Football Foundation’s Bill Dooley Chapter.
Harris was a two-time Academic All-ACC selection and graduated from Duke in 2019, majoring in public policy studies and minoring in economics. The quarterback also received a certificate in innovation and entrepreneurship.
On the field, Quentin Harris threw for 2,078 yards in his redshirt senior season, and first as the starting quarterback of the Blue Devils, in addition to 16 touchdown passes and 11 interceptions.
The ground game was also a major part of Harris’ style as he rushed for 510 yards and seven rushing touchdowns in Duke’s 5-7 season.
At the conclusion of the season, Quentin Harris was a Johnny Unitas Award finalist, Campbell Trophy semifinalist, and a National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society Member, in addition to being named as the program’s Bob Pascal Award winner, which is given to Duke’s top offensive running option.

Joining Quentin Harris as University Scholar-Athlete award winners by the National Football Foundation’s Bill Dooley Chapter in the state of North Carolina are Fernando Frye of East Carolina, Trenton Gill of North Carolina State, Nick Polino of North Carolina, and Isaiah Totten of North Carolina Central.
Harris follows in the footsteps of his fellow captain, Ben Humphreys, who was the last winner of the award from Duke in 2019.

Quentin Harris was not selected in the 2020 NFL Draft but could latch on with a franchise as a training camp invite in the coming months.
