A scout’s take (SI recruiting insider Jason Jordan): “MJ Rice…combines elite athleticism, brute strength, and scoring ability on all three levels. This season, Rice was pumping in 25 points, nine rebounds, and two assists a game…before tearing his ACL in December. That production has everyone from Duke to Kentucky to Texas Tech to Pittsburgh, among many others, all in hot pursuit.”
Duke-related chatter: MJ Rice practically lived behind the Blue Devil bench last season, seizing every opportunity to use unofficial visits to watch college hoops from inside heaven-on-earth Cameron Indoor Stadium. Mike Krzyzewski and his gang are “interested” in the 17-year-old, per 247Sports.
