List of 10 potential 2022 Duke basketball recruits: Jalen Duren

230 pounds. C. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. player. 434. 6-foot-10. Jalen Duren

2022 Top247 ranking: No. 2

School: Just transferred from Roman Catholic High School (Pa.) to Montverde Academy (Fla.)

Significant offers: Alabama, Auburn, Michigan, Miami, Maryland

A scout’s take (247Sports director of recruiting Evan Daniels): “A strong, burly post prospect. Impressive physically, especially considering his age. He’s built like a brick house…Duren has good athleticism, and he uses it to finish plays inside and snag rebounds. He’s a terrific rebounder and also a good shot blocker at this stage. The next step in his development is showing patience on the block and improving his scoring moves around the basket.”

Duke-related chatter: The only hint of Duke at all showing interest in Jalen Duren is the “interested” label that 247Sports has applied to the recruitment. But seeing that Mike Krzyzewski and his staff have been players for so many top talents, especially in recent years, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them enter the race sooner or later.
