Top 10 impact players for the 2020 Duke football team: QB Chase Brice

This will mark the second consecutive year that the Blue Devils will have to replace their starting quarterback. But have no fear, Clemson grad transfer Chase Brice will almost certainly be taking over this role.

Sitting behind star Trevor Lawrence, Brice gained valuable experience before transferring to Duke. He even showed what he was capable of while leading the Tigers to a comeback win over Syracuse in 2018.

The job is by no means guaranteed, but I see Brice winning the spot as QB1. Things may rusty in the beginning, as he will have to adjust to a new system. Compounding on this is the fact that many spring football activities have been canceled.

Under Chase Brice, Duke will once again have a truly formidable passing attack. It may take time, but pairing up with the talented and upcoming receivers, the Georgia native will cause damage in the ACC Coastal.
