Jayhawks . 4. team. 462. . .

Ranking haters of Duke basketball greatness: No. 4 Kansas

Imagine considering yourself a fan of a traditional powerhouse yet having only one national title to show for it across the past 30-plus seasons. Ouch. At the same time, imagine the NCAA deeming your favorite program’s recent violations as “egregious” and “severe” and asserting that they “significantly undermine and threaten the NCAA Collegiate Model.” Yikes.

Welcome to the life of Kansas fans. Like their Arizona counterparts, they seem to feel a little bit better after taking their frustrations out on Dukies. So more power to them. Whatever helps distract them from their troublesome reality, I guess.

But let’s also look at the pain the Blue Devils have handed the Jayhawks on the court. Yes, Kansas ripped away a Final Four appearance from the 2017-18 Duke squad and has won four of the past six meetings. That said, Mike Krzyzewski’s teams have a combined 8-5 record against the guys from Lawrence and account for the only win between the two in a National Championship Game (the program’s first title in 1991). Enough said.
