Kennedy Chandler talks North Carolina

If nothing else, as the recruit pointed out to Pro Insights, Kennedy Chandler is fond of North Carolina head coach Roy Williams for giving him so much attention, particularly across his junior season:

“Roy Williams has been recruiting me really hard and calling me a lot. For in-school visits, he’s come and seen me the most, so I really appreciate him for coming to see me a lot during practices and games.”

Chandler, who has taken either an official or unofficial visit to each of his finalists except for North Carolina, is also apparently fond of the backcourt players Williams has lured to Chapel Hill in recent years, including one set to arrive next season as part of the nation’s No. 2 recruiting class. And he has paid attention to the freestyle manner in which the three-time national champ uses them:

“I’ve also seen good point guards that come out of there like Coby White, he’s got Caleb Love coming this year, and Cole Anthony. I like the style of play they play and the way he lets the guards loose.”

Finally, let’s examine what Chandler had to say about UNC’s rival, the Duke basketball program…
