THE SEASON SYNOPSIS

Too many missed shots in the paint by Josh McRoberts during critical possessions. Too many turnovers by Greg Paulus (3.1 per game), McRoberts (2.5 per game), and DeMarcus Nelson (2.4 per game). Too much pouting. Too confident after a 13-1 start.

All the talent — six McDonald’s All-Americans on the roster — simply wasn’t enough to overcome the Blue Devils’ discombobulated, ho-hum efforts that led to losses in eight of their last dozen games. An underachievement.
