THE SEASON SYNOPSIS
The 2009-10 Duke basketball team consisted of what many fans would love to see more of today: a starting five of seniors and juniors leading the way.
While experience and size were crucial to the Blue Devils enjoying a confetti party on the first Monday of April in Indianapolis, another key was the emergence of Nolan Smith, who suddenly became a scoring sensation after single-digit averages his first two seasons in Durham.
Also, there would have been no party if not for Brian Zoubek and Lance Thomas finally figuring out and maximizing their roles down the stretch of their senior campaigns.
