THE SEASON SYNOPSIS
Entering March, the 2005-06 Duke basketball team sat 27-1 overall and had displayed one of the most impressive regular seasons in program history. On March 1, however, the narrative changed in a loss at Florida State, followed by a loss on Senior Night for JJ Redick and Shelden Williams at the hands of Tyler Hansbrough and North Carolina.
Still, the squad managed to turn things around in time to snip some nets at the ACC Tournament. However, three games later, in an ugly 62-54 defeat to Lousiana State, Redick put the flame out on his chances of winning a national title by going 3-for-18 from the field.
