THE SEASON SYNOPSIS
So much rookie talent. Too many injuries to start the season. Had Jayson Tatum, Marques Bolden, Harry Giles, and the rest all been healthy as a unit from the get-go, who knows how deep into March the 2016-17 Duke basketball unit might have gone.
Other than the season-ending loss in the second round of the Big Dance to South Carolina and a couple of poor stretches throughout the season, the Blue Devils managed to show off their talents, overcoming deficits to knock off eventual national champ UNC in two of three tries and in beating Notre Dame for the ACC Tournament crown.
