THE SEASON SYNOPSIS
Without either Christian Laettner or Bobby Hurley, most doubted Grant Hill could lead a Duke basketball team to an April net-cutting ceremony on his own. Well, he almost did exactly that. Yes, Cherokee Parks and Antonio Lang stepped up their play as well.
But there was little else outside of that. Had a moonball 3-pointer by Arkansas’ Scotty Thurman not squelched the Blue Devils’ hopes in the final minute of the NCAA Championship Game, the 1993-94 bunch would have appeared much higher on this list. Oh well.
