THE SEASON SYNOPSIS

With three-peat dreams in mind, the 1992-93 Duke basketball team had one problem: no more Christian Laettner. Granted, Bobby Hurley and Grant Hill were still a formidable duo without him. And Thomas Hill did all he could to up his game and become a third weapon. However, in the paint, sophomore Cherokee Parks struggled at times in an increased role with all the public pressure to be more like Laettner.

The season just didn’t click for the Blue Devils like it had the two preceding seasons, ending with a loss in the second round of the NCAA Tournament to Jason Kidd and Cal.
