THE SEASON SYNOPSIS
Five players averaged in double figures. That said, none averaged more than 15 points; furthermore, even though DeMarcus Nelson was a captivating Blue Devil and great lockdown defender during his four years in Durham, having him as a leading scorer was not a promising sign of a deep run in March.
The biggest weakness of this bunch, though, was a lack of size. Look at the seven bruiser-less names above. Kyle Singler playing at the five at times — as a freshman, mind you — was never going to work out too well in the long run.
