Top threat to Duke basketball from each ACC foe next season

Garrison Brooks was selected to the All-ACC Second Team last season, averaging almost 17 points and 8.5 rebounds per game.

The 6-foot-9, 235-pound power forward was even better against Duke basketball head coach Mike Krzyzewski’s squad. In two games against the Blue Devils last season, both resulting in losses, Brooks totaled 44 points and 18 rebounds, including 10 on the offensive glass.

Duke freshman power forwards Henry Coleman and Jaemyn Brakefield could be either too inexperienced (both) or too undersized (Brakefield) to shut down the Tar Heel big man. Graduate transfer Patrick Tape could see good minutes and potentially draw the Brooks assignment.
