6-5, 210. Sophomore. David Johnson. player. G. 438. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

Louisville guard David Johnson blitzed the Blue Devils last January in Durham. He had a team-high 19 points and seven assists to go along with four rebounds, three steals, and two blocks in the Cardinals’ 79-73 upset victory.

A top bench player as a freshman last season, he averaged 6.3 points, 2.8 assists, 2.8 rebounds, and 0.7 steals in 16.0 minutes per game. A larger role, though, awaits his sophomore campaign.

At 6-foot-5 and 210 pounds, Johnson is a big, physical combo guard with good range and a proclivity for attacking off the dribble. Like the Panthers’ Justin Champagnie, he will challenge a smaller and somewhat less experienced Duke backcourt.
