Top threat to Duke basketball from each ACC foe next season
The Demon Deacons’ 7-foot center recorded 11 double-doubles during his junior year in Winston-Salem. In two contests against the Duke basketball team last year, Olivier Sarr tallied 38 points and grabbed 14 rebounds.
Assuming Sarr doesn’t depart in light of the news on Saturday of Wake Forest firing head coach Danny Manning, he could pose a problem for the Blue Devils next season. Mike Krzyzewski’s own 7-footer, freshman Mark Williams, who ranks 29th nationally in his class, according to the 247Sports 2020 Composite, may not quite be ready to battle the experience of Sarr, who finished as an All-ACC Third Team selection last season.
