The three Duke basketball newcomers most likely to contribute
The graduate transfer from Columbia, who will arrive with one year of eligibility remaining, has the potential to make huge contributions inside next season. While some may wonder about the level of competition in the Ivy League, there are signs that Tape is more than ready for the grind of ACC play. During a successive four-game stretch in Dec. 2018 against Iona, Boston College, Rutgers, and Northwestern, Tape averaged just over 25 minutes per game, scored 15.8 points per game, grabbed 4.8 rebounds per game, and shot 66 percent from the field (27 for 41).
How often Tape finds the floor in Durham is still subject to debate; however, he is likely to make a positive impact when he does.
