Senior, and probable Duke captain, Jordan Goldwire may get the first crack at handling point guard duties for head coach Mike Krzyzewski given his outstanding 2.5 assist-to-turnover ratio last season. Or, freshman combo guard Jeremy Roach may very well end up with those responsibilities. However, if Goldwire plays well, then the athletic 6-foot-2, 180-pound freshman is equally as comfortable at the two-spot in Coach K’s rotation.

Roach, who now sits at No. 21 on the 247Sports 2020 Composite after bouncing back from an ACL tear in his right knee as a junior, is extremely athletic and quick off the dribble. The Virginia native’s crossover going from his right to left and his acceleration off the dribble are lightning-fast. However, the freshman’s greatest asset may very well be his ability to finish through contact near the basket. There is little doubt that he will see significant minutes in the Blue Devil rotation.

The same goes for the most experienced paint presence in Durham next season…
