The three Duke basketball newcomers most likely to contribute
The 6-foot-8, 215-pound shooting forward will be a tremendous mismatch on the perimeter next season for the Blue Devils. Jalen Johnson, who ranks No. 11 overall on the 247Sports 2020 Composite, is a very long and athletic wing player with incredible versatility. He is an excellent distributor, a plus shooter from outside the arc, and is easily able to beat defenders off the dribble.
The Wisconsin native should be able to generate assists for his teammates with his ability to finish with either hand at the rim. Johnson may well remind Duke basketball fans of Luol Deng (2003-04) or Kyle Singler (2007-11) as he has a very similar skillset to both Blue Devil greats.
