Jack White

Something has to be wrong with Jack White in terms of an unknown injury or illness because his recent lack of minutes has been very confusing.

White has not been poor in his play on the court and had been one of Duke’s best defenders and rebounders but only logged three minutes and scored two points in the win over Virginia Tech.

The senior captain has just played 19 minutes in his last four games after playing over 14 minutes in each game from January 11 to February 1.

Jack White provides great leadership both on and off the floor for Duke and it would behoove Mike Krzyzewski to get his senior back on the court.

Joey Baker

Joey Baker is a combination of Jack White and Matthew Hurt in that he has not been playing much primarily due to his extreme hot-and-cold performances.

Baker missed both of his shots on Saturday and played just five minutes in the blowout.

The sophomore has not scored in his last two games, following scoring eight points in the victory over Notre Dame.

Joey Baker always brings a hard-nosed mentality to the floor and an energy that is able to lift his teammates to new levels and it would be nice to see him in the game quicker and more frequently.

Javin DeLaurier

Javin DeLaurier is another upperclassman that finds himself limited minutes and doesn’t produce as much as fans would like to see from him.

The senior captain did not score in 14 minutes against Virginia Tech and while his role on the team isn’t to score, he’s shown that he’s able to have big games when needed.

In Duke’s bigger games this season the leader has come up big in many moments and the Blue Devils will continue to have more big moments coming down the stretch of the season that they will need the production of Javin DeLaurier.
