Technically, his numbers last season were better (after entering the league in 2017 as a second-rounder and then sitting out his entire first year with a foot injury). But with both Jrue Holiday and Lonzo Ball on the roster this season, the playing time for point guard Frank Jackson fluctuates.

Despite the heavy competition for minutes, the 6-foot-3, 205-pound former five-star recruit out of Utah does consistently produce when he hears his number, with his elite speed and trusted handles as his primary offerings. And seeing that Jackson is one of five Bayou Blue Devils — plus, Duke basketball sharpshooter legend Trajan Langdon is the general manager — it seems the Pelicans like having the 21-year-old around.
