Duke basketball 2010 national champ and former four-year college player Mason Plumlee has been out with a foot injury since the third week of January but is likely to soon return to the lineup. Before the hiccup, the 6-foot-11, 240-pound 29-year-old former five-star recruit from Indiana was giving the Denver Nuggets what he’s always provided: athleticism, know-how, and instincts down low.

However, his average playing time this season is at a career-low, suggesting his most productive days are, sad to say, probably behind him. Yet at this point, regardless of how much gas remains in Plumlee’s tank, Duke basketball fans can be proud of what the former 22nd overall draft pick turned himself into at the game’s highest level.
