The Duke Basketball team is set for the middle game of its three game road trip as the Blue Devils face the Boston College Eagles on Tuesday night.

After a major victory over the Syracuse Orange on Saturday night, the Duke Blue Devils headed back to Durham to rest and reset before heading back up north to face the Boston College Eagles.

Boston College was just down on Tobacco Road on Saturday evening as the Eagles took down the North Carolina Tar Heels in Cole Anthony‘s return.

More from Ball Durham

With the win from Boston College, Tuesday night will mark the third time this season that Duke must go on the road to face a team coming off a win in the Dean Dome.

Duke previously defeated the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets after a win over the Tar Heels but lost to the Clemson Tigers after its record breaking win over the Heels.

The Blue Devils will try and pick up a win before they have to head down the Dean Dome on Saturday, but Duke must focus its attention to Boston College and feeding the ball down low to Vernon Carey Jr.

When these two teams met in Durham on December 31, Matthew Hurt caught fire from the outside with 25 points as the Blue Devils rolled the Eagles, 88-49.

Duke was very balanced in terms of scoring but in order to grab another victory over Boston College, the Blue Devils must run its offense through the ACC Freshman and Player of the Week.

While Duke has a significant size advantage against Boston College, defensively the Blue Devils must contain the Eagles’ guards who have the ability to get hot from the floor in a hurry.

Back on December 31 the Blue Devils did a remarkable job on the defensive end of the floor by only allowing one Boston College player to reach double-digits in CJ Felder who scored 13 points as ex-Dukie Derryck Thornton scored just six points on 3-of-12 shooting.

Thornton will be looking for a much better performance against his former team as tipoff is set for 7:00pm EST on ESPN.
