Trouble ahead: Predicting entire Duke basketball roster next season

Signatures do not seal the deal when it comes to the Duke basketball program ultimately welcoming a recruit to Durham (see: Boogie Ellis). Yet of Krzyzewski’s six 2020 signees, Trinity Episcopal (Va.) power forward Henry Coleman displays such a high level of good-guy personality and good-decision brainpower that his inked commitment feels the most like an absolute lock.
Factoring in Duke’s aforementioned trio of graduating senior post players after this season — as well as the predicted early departures here, as readers shall soon discover, of some current freshmen — Coleman should be in line for plenty of playing time and an opportunity to compete for a starting job from the get-go of his potentially multiyear career as a Blue Devil.

The chiseled bruiser’s unflinching moves to the basket, consistent motor on the glass, improving mid-range game, and team-first persona should pay dividends for the next Duke basketball bunch — even if he winds up spending more time on the bench than Ball Durham expects him to in his first year.
