With the win over the Tar Heels, Clemson improved to 8-7 on the season and 2-3 in the ACC, but the Tigers have won two straight games against North Carolina State and North Carolina.

Clemson had previously lost to Virginia Tech, Florida State, and Miami in conference play with the loss to the Seminoles being the only road game.

The Tigers started the season 5-1 but after a win over TCU, Clemson would go on to lose six of seven games, four straight, with its lone win coming at home against Jacksonville.

Junior forward Aamir Simms leads the way for Clemson, averaging a team high 13.9 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 46.1 percent from the field and 38.3 percent from 3-point range.

Tevin Mack is the only other Tiger averaging double-digit points at 11.5 points per game but the guard is also averaging 5.1 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 1.2 steals per game on 44.7 percent shooting.

Clemson does have guards John Newman III and Al-Amir Dawes averaging 9.9 and 9.1 points per game, respectively, but neither player is extremely efficient as Newman III shoots just 43.8 percent from the floor as Dawes is a 36.3 percent shooter.

As a team, Clemson shoots 42.4 percent from the field, 32.3 percent from 3-point range, and 71.2 percent from the free throw line as that totals to average 68.7 points per game for the Tigers.

Duke and Clemson will tipoff at 7:00pm EST from the Littlejohn Coliseum and the game can be seen on ESPN.
