The Duke Basketball team fell one spot in the Associated Press Top-25 Poll despite picking up two victories against ACC opponents this week.

Entering last week the Duke Blue Devils were No. 2 in the Associated Press Top-25 Poll. Duke picked up two victories, one on the road and one at home, against Georgia Tech and Wake Forest.

Despite those wins, the Blue Devils dropped one spot to No. 3 in this week’s AP Poll due to the victory the then No. 4 Baylor Bears had at Allen Fieldhouse against the then No. 3 Kansas Jayhawks.

The Gonzaga Bulldogs remained at No. 1 in the poll while Baylor jumped from No. 4 to No. 2 because of its major win.

With Duke at No. 3, the Auburn Tigers come in at No. 4 while the Butler Bulldogs moved up one spot to No. 5.

Kansas, San Diego State, Oregon, Florida State, and Kentucky round out the Top-10 while the Louisville Cardinals ranked at No. 11.

Auburn and San Diego State are the only two teams left in the country that still have not lost a game this season.

Duke, Florida State, and Louisville are the only teams in the ACC that are ranked in the AP Top-25 Poll while the Virginia Cavaliers and Virginia Tech Hokies did receive votes in the poll.

The Blue Devils received four first place votes, while the No. 2 Bears received one more first place vote (31) than Gonzaga did (30), but the Bulldogs totaled 1,574 points compared to Baylor’s 1,567.

Entering the week of January 13, Duke is currently 15-1 on the season and 5-0 in ACC play with three of its conference wins coming on the road.

Duke will hit the road once again this week to face the Clemson Tigers before the first true big game of the season hits Cameron Indoor Stadium on Saturday evening when No. 11 Louisville comes into Durham.
