Cam Reddish makes NBA history in Hawks loss to Nets
As the Atlanta Hawks faced the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday evening, former Duke Basketball star Cam Reddish made some NBA history in the process.
Cam Reddish etched his name into the NBA record books on Sunday night as the Atlanta Hawks faced the Brooklyn Nets.
Reddish became the first rookie in NBA history to score at least 20 points, have at least five steals and not commit a foul in 30 minutes or less.

The former Blue Devil finished his night with 20 points, two assists, and five steals in 29 minutes but the Hawks fell to the Nets, 108-86.
Cam Reddish’s 20 points were a team-high and it was also the second-most points the No. 10 overall pick scored in his rookie season as Reddish scored a career-high 25 points against Brooklyn back on December 4.
The feat in which Reddish achieved is so rare, that only Stephen Curry, LeBron James, and Michael Jordan had that stat line more than one time in their NBA careers. That trio all recorded that stat line twice in its career while Reddish already has done it once in just 36 games.
Cam Reddish also found himself on the highlight reel on Sunday night after a major dunk over Jarrett Allen and Joe Harris.

In his rookie season, Cam Reddish has experienced the highs and lows of the NBA, averaging 8.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game while shooting 32.5 percent from the field and 27.0 percent from 3-point range.
In the same game, former Duke Blue Devil Kyrie Irving made his return to the floor for the Brooklyn Nets after an extended absence due to a shoulder injury and scored 21 points on 10-of-11 shooting in Brooklyn’s win.

This season has not panned out how the Atlanta Hawks envisioned it with just an 8-32 record, the worst in the Eastern Conference and the worst record in the NBA. The Hawks will return back to Atlanta to face the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday, January 14 at 7:30pm EST.
