Turnovers

When a team gets a 33-point victory on the road in conference play, you are really nitpicking to find things that went wrong, so I guess we will start with the 14 turnovers.

Every player in Duke’s starting lineup had at least one turnover with the exception of Alex O’Connell who did not turn the ball over in the ten minutes he played.

Tre Jones and Wendell Moore both have three turnovers each, playing 22 and 21 minutes, respectively.

Live ball turnovers are the worst to have and while that wasn’t a problem against Miami, it should be something to monitor going forward for

Free Throw Shooting

Once again, this is nitpicking since Duke beat Miami by 33-points, but the free throw shooting was questionable for the Blue Devils on Saturday night.

Duke was 9-of-14 from the line, only missing five, which is not bad at all, but in a closer game that could come back to haunt the Blue Devils.

Javin DeLaurier was the only player to make all four of his free throw attempts as Vernon Carey Jr. and Cassius Stanley both made 2-of-4 and Tre Jones split a pair.
