Former Duke Football star wide receiver and current New York Jet Jamison Crowder helped his team get back in the win column on Sunday with a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

After an extended break coming off a loss last Thursday night against the Baltimore Ravens, the New York Jets returned home to face another AFC North opponent who is in playoff contention.

The Pittsburgh Steelers entered MetLife Stadium and the New York Jets were looking to spoil a chance for the Steelers to reach the playoffs and the mission was accomplished.

New York defeated Pittsburgh 16-10 on Sunday and put the Steelers in a position where they need to defeat the Ravens next Sunday and get help from other teams around the NFL.

Jets quarterback Sam Darnold was looking for his favorite wide receiver very often on Sunday afternoon as Jamison Crowder tied a team-high with four receptions in the victory.

Crowder was tied with running back Le’Veon Bell with four receptions but the former Blue Devil did have a team-high 60 yards and eight targets.

The win improved the Jets to 6-9 on the season but New York has already been eliminated from playoff contention and the team will finish up the season in Buffalo against the Bills, who have already locked up the No. 5 seed in the AFC Playoffs.

In his first season with the New York Jets, Jamison Crowder has played in the 15 games accumulating 112 targets and turning that into 70 receptions, 767 yards, and five touchdowns.

With one game left to play, Crowder has already reached career highs in targets and receptions while his career high in touchdowns is seven and in yards is 847, both set in 2016 when he was with the Washington Redskins.

Jamison Crowder and the New York Jets will play the Buffalo Bills in New Era Field on Sunday, December 29 at 1:00pm EST and the game can be seen on CBS.
