Stock up from Duke basketball’s dominating win over Wofford
The Duke Basketball team was able to defeat the Wofford Terriers on Thursday night and three players truly stood out above the rest.
Coming off a two week break and without its starting point guard, the Duke Blue Devils were able to defeat the Wofford Terriers on Thursday night, 86-57.
Tre Jones was sidelined due to a minor foot injury, but after the game Mike Krzyzewski said that the sophomore would have played if this was an ACC game and Jones will be back in action after the Christmas Break.

Duke has one non-conference game left on December 28 against Brown before starting ACC play on December 31 against Boston College.
Despite not having Jones, the Blue Devils were dominant against Wofford and it all started with Jordan Goldwire setting the tone as he started in place of the Apple Valley, Minnesota native.
It was only Goldwire’s second start of the season with the other coming on opening night against the Kansas Jayhawks.
Duke also saw freshman Vernon Carey Jr. get back on track with a double-double, 20 points and ten rebounds, after seeing his streak of seven straight double-doubles snapped in the win over Virginia Tech back on December 6.
However, despite the great contributions up and down the roster on Thursday night, the star that shined the brightest was sophomore guard Joey Baker.
Baker dropped a career high 22 points on 6-of-11 shooting and 5-of-7 from 3-point range with all of his 3-pointers coming in the second half.
In this edition of ‘Stock Up, Stock Down’ there will only be a ‘Stock Up’.
We have done this before because there were really no players or aspects of the game where Duke struggled.
Without arguably its best player, all of the Blue Devils stepped up to the plate and dominated Wofford without looking back or letting its foot off the gas pedal.
