The former Duke Basketball star, Jayson Tatum, led the Boston Celtics in a blowout victory over the Detroit Pistons on Friday night in TD Garden.
The Boston Celtics have been on a roll to start the 2019-20 season and that continued on Friday night as the Celtics dominated the Pistons, 114-93.
Boston was led by the No. 3 overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft and former Duke Basketball star, Jayson Tatum, who tied a team-high with 26 points in 27 minutes.

Jaylen Brown was the other Celtic who posted 26 points alongside the former Blue Devil.
In addition to his 26 points, Tatum posted five rebounds, three assists, and one steal with no turnovers on 10-of-17 shooting, but only 2-of-7 from 3-point range. Tatum also made all four of his free throw attempts.
On the other side for the Pistons, Tatum’s teammate at Duke, Luke Kennard, did not play on Friday night due to a knee injury.
Kennard is averaging a career-best 15.8 points per game on 44.2% shooting in addition to 3.5 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game.

The win pushed Boston to 19-7 on the season and 11-1 at the TD Garden this season. After losing two straight games to the Indiana Pacers and Philadelphia 76ers, the Celtics have won two straight games starting back on Wednesday against the Dallas Mavericks.
Boston currently holds the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference, four and a half games behind the Milwaukee Bucks for the No. 1 seed who are an astounding 25-4 on the season.
In 25 games played this season, Tatum is averaging a career-high 20.8 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.4 steals per game while shooting 40.7% from the field and 35.4% from 3-point range.
The Boston Celtics will have one more game before their highly anticipated Christmas Day game against the Toronto Raptors. Boston will host the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday, December 22 at 6:00pm EST at the TD Garden.
