The former Blue Devil has made the playoffs in every season of his long NBA career, but that streak seems to be in serious doubt with the Pelicans’ struggles this season.

New Orleans has been close in many games, but just not able to do enough to get more victories.

On Friday, the Pelicans suffered another close loss, dropping its latest game 116-109 to Philadelphia.

Redick looked very comfortable in Wells Fargo Arena, going off for 19 points, three rebounds, and three assists on 6-of-16 shooting from the field, 3-of-5 from 3-point range, and 4-of-5 from the free throw line.

In his first season in New Orleans, Redick has played in 25 games, starting 21, while averaging 15.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game while shooting 43.9% from the field and 45.3% from 3-point territory.

On Friday night, JJ Redick was outshined by former Blue Devil Brandon Ingram who has continued his sensational season by scoring 32 points on the 76ers.

Ingram also added six rebounds on 10-of-17 shooting, 1-of-3 from 3-point range, and 11-of-13 from the free throw line.

The former Los Angeles Laker is having the best season of his career averaging 25.2 points and 7.0 rebounds per game while shooting 49.4% from the field and 40.7% from 3-point range.

It was also a return to Philadelphia for Jahlil Okafor, a former No. 3 overall pick of the 76ers, and on  Friday the former Blue Devil came off the bench and posted nine points and five rebounds in just 15 minutes.

Frank Jackson did not play in this game nor did Zion Williamson, whose 2019-20 season seems to now be in doubt.

New Orleans will be back on the floor at home on Sunday, December 15 against the Orlando Magic at 3:30pm EST.
