The former Duke Basketball star Cam Reddish posted the best game of his young NBA career on Wednesday night as the Atlanta Hawks fell to the Brooklyn Nets.

It hasn’t been the best start of the season for the Atlanta Hawks, but the team may have seen a breakthrough from rookie Cam Reddish on Wednesday night.

In a 130-118 loss to the Brooklyn Nets, the former Duke Blue Devil had a near-perfect game, posting a career-high 25 points in the defeat.

Cam Reddish was 10-of-17 from the floor, 4-of-7 from 3-point range, and split a pair at the foul line while adding six rebounds, three steals, and a block while playing 37 minutes in the starting lineup.

Reddish was tied with Trae Young for the team-high in minutes and only trailed Young for the team lead in points as the second-year player went off for 39 points in the loss.

Perhaps more impressive for Cam Reddish was the fact that the former Blue Devil did not turn the ball over nor pick up a foul in his 37 minutes on the floor.

The No. 10 overall pick of the 2019 NBA Draft has experienced a learning curve in the NBA, averaging 7.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.7 assists early in his NBA career, and only shooting 28.8% from the floor and 21.2% from 3-point range.

Prior to Wednesday night, Cam Reddish’s previous career high was 17 points which he posted back on November 20 in a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.

In the loss to Brooklyn, former Blue Devil Jabari Parker also chipped in ten points and three rebounds on 5-of-9 shooting.

At 5-17 on the season, things do not get easier for the Atlanta Hawks as the team is set to hit the road for a three-game road trip against the Charlotte Hornets, Miami Heat, and Chicago Bulls.
