Cassius Stanley

Cassius Stanley finds himself on the Stock Up list for the second game in a row and the second time in his college career.

Stanley has emerged as Duke’s go-to scorer, something that was a major question mark coming into the season, but his eye-popping performance against Kansas carried over to the win over Colorado State.

It’d by silly to consistently expect these outstanding performances out of Stanley, but he can be that calming force that’s able to get Duke a bucket when they need it, then he has the ability to stitch his name in to Blue Devil lure.

Wendell Moore

Wendell Moore‘s first game as a Blue Devil didn’t go as planned. Against the Jayhawks the freshman wing looked out of place, overwhelmed, and overmatched.

Moore looked the same way against Colorado State coming off the bench, but in his second stint on the floor, he looked much more fluid and confident.

The Charlotte native ended the night with ten points, a rebound, and a steal on 5-of-6 shooting and if Wendell Moore is able to consistently produce those type of numbers on offense along with his stellar defense, then he will fit in perfectly in Durham.

Alex O’Connell

Alex O’Connell is in a pivotal year as a Duke Blue Devil and so far he’s proven that he’s matured and improved on the court.

Against Colorado State the junior scored 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting, but more importantly he was 3-of-6 from 3-point range.

O’Connell was the only Blue Devil to make a 3-pointer outside of a late bucket from Matthew Hurt beyond the arc.

While shooting is a major key for O’Connell this year, his defense is vastly improved and on Friday night he also contributed six rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Alex O’Connell is a major X-Factor for the Blue Devils this season and if the Georgia native can be the next great volume scorer in Durham, Duke will have it’s sights set on something much bigger.
