The Duke Football team will be back in primetime after its bye week against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on November 9.

The ACC announced on Monday afternoon that the Duke Blue Devils and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will kickoff at 7:30pm EST on Saturday, November 9 from Wallace Wade Stadium.

Duke is coming off of a 17-14 loss to North Carolina in Chapel Hill last week while Notre Dame is coming off of a thrashing against Michigan when the Fighting Irish lost 45-14.

The Blue Devils are 4-4 on the season as the team enters a bye week while Notre Dame is 5-2 and dropped to No. 16 in the latest Associated Press Top-25 Poll while the Fighting Irish will host the Virginia Tech Hokies this Saturday.

Notre Dame and Duke have only met five times in both program’s history and shockingly the Fighting Irish only hold a 3-2 advantage over the Blue Devils.

The last time these two teams met was in South Bend and a Daniel Jones led Duke team defeated Notre Dame, 38-35 on a AJ Reed field goal late in the fourth quarter.

The game will be broadcasted on the ACC Network and although Notre Dame is not a member of the ACC in terms of football, this game will be the first time the Fighting Irish are on the ACC Network, thus making it a primetime game.

While the loss to Michigan all but eliminated Notre Dame from the College Football Playoff, the Fighting Irish will still be trying to reach a New Year’s Six Bowl Game while the Duke Blue Devils are trying to make a bowl game for the third straight season and need two more wins this year to become bowl eligible.

Duke and Notre Dame will hit the field at Wallace Wade Stadium on November 9 at 7:30pm EST and fans can see the game on the ACC Network.
