The New York Jets struggled on Monday night against the New England Patriots, but former Duke Football wide receiver Jamison Crowder led the team in receptions.

There wasn’t much that went right for the New York Jets in its 33-0 loss to the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football.

However, the team’s leading receiver was Jamison Crowder, who led the team in receptions despite the putrid offensive performance.

Any time a team doesn’t score in a football game, the offense didn’t play well and to say the Jets offense didn’t play well on Monday night would be an understatement.

Quarterback Sam Darnold turned the football over five times, four interceptions, and only completed 11-of-32 passes for 86 yards.

Four of those completions and 26 of the yards went to former Duke Football star Jamison Crowder.

Crowder reeled in four passes on five targets, with the only other target sailing over his head and into the arms of a Patriots defender in the first quarter.

The four catches were a team high for Crowder and the 26 receiving yards were second-best on the team, trailing fellow wide receiver Demaryius Thomas, who caught three passes for 42 yards on nine targets.

Robby Anderson was the only other Jet besides Thomas to have more targets than Crowder, and Darnold looked for Anderson eight times.

In his first season with the New York Jets, Jamison Crowder has caught a total of 32 passes on 45 targets for a total of 298 yards. Averaging 9.3 yards per reception, Crowder has yet to find the end zone.

The former Blue Devil caught 14 passes on 17 targets in Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills, but saw his numbers significantly drop when Darnold was out of the lineup with mono.

With the loss on Monday, the New York Jets dropped to 1-5 on the season and will look to get back in the win column on Sunday, October 27 as the team travels to Jacksonville to face the Jaguars at 1:00pm EST on CBS.
