Duke Blue Devils, North Carolina Tar Heels set for mid-afternoon kickoff

The Duke Football team will be kicking off in the mid-afternoon when then team travels to face the North Carolina Tar Heels on Saturday, October 26.

The Rivalry takes to the gridiron as the Duke Blue Devils know when they will be playing the North Carolina Tar Heels on Saturday, October 26.

The ACC announced on Monday afternoon that the teams will have a 4:00pm EST from Kenan Memorial Stadium on the campus of North Carolina.

Before the rivals square off, they will have to focus their attention to Week 8 as both teams will be in action.

Duke will be on the road to face the Virginia Cavaliers in a crucial ACC Coastal Division matchup. As for the Tar Heels, they will also be on the road in the state of Virginia as North Carolina travels to Virginia Tech to take on the Hokies.

The Blue Devils have a 4-2 record on the season, while the Tar Heels are 3-3, but both teams are 2-1 in the ACC and tied for the lead with Virginia in the Coastal Division.

In the battle for the Victory Bell, North Carolina holds a 59-41 advantage in the series, but Duke has won the last three matchups and five of the past seven games.

There will be changes on the North Carolina sideline from the last time these two teams met as the new head coach of the Tar Heels is Mack Brown as he replaced Larry Fedora.

Brown was the head coach of the Tar Heels from 1988-1997 before heading to Texas and while the Blue Devils won the first two games against Brown, North Carolina won the next eight matchups.
