Jamison Crowder nears century mark in Sam Darnold’s return to Jets
The former Duke Football wide receiver, Jamison Crowder, was a main focal point of the New York Jets offense with the return of quarterback Sam Darnold.
The New York Jets were back on the field with its starting quarterback on Sunday afternoon and that meant good things for the skill position players in the Green and White.
Sam Darnold returned from a three game absence with mono and former Duke Football wide receiver Jamison Crowder was very happy the former No. 3 overall pick was in the lineup.

Crowder signed a three year, $28.5 million contract in the offseason and only played with Darnold one game this season.
In that game, Crowder saw a team-high 17 targets with 14 receptions and 99 yards. The former Blue Devil also had one rush for four yards in the Week 1 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
With Darnold out of the lineup, the Jets turned to backup Trevor Siemian, who did not last a half of football due to a fractured ankle, and third string Luke Falk.
Crowder saw an average amount targets in those three games, but noting that jumped off the stat sheet.
In Week 2 against the Cleveland Browns, Crowder saw six targets and caught four passes for 40 yards.
Things didn’t get much better for Crowder when Falk stepped in long term with two receptions on five targets for 25 yards against the New England Patriots and two catches on three targets with ten yards against the Philadelphia Eagles.
In Darnold’s return he looked for the slot receiver out of Duke much more often as Jamison Crowder finished the game with six receptions for 98 yards on nine targets as the Jets picked up its first win of the season against the Dallas Cowboys.
