Coming into the game Georgia Tech had not scored a single point in the first quarter and were only converting 30% of its third downs. Naturally, the Yellow Jackets converted both of their third down attempts on the opening drive, including a 19-yard touchdown pass.

Duke would score the next 38 points of the game, using an excellent combination of the running and passing game, taking a 38-14 lead into halftime.

The Blue Devils significantly took their foot off the gas pedal in the second half, only scoring three points in the last two quarters.

Quarterback Quentin Harris was good in the game, but his numbers won’t standout in the box score only completing 11-of-20 passes for 176 yards and rushing for 38 yards and a touchdown.

Mataeo Durant led the way for the Blue Devils in the backfield with 74 yards on 13 carries while Deon Jackson found the end-zone twice with 20 carries for 69 yards.

Wide receiver Eli Pancol also found the end-zone on the ground, rushing two times for 13 yards.

With the victory, Duke moves to 4-2 on the season and 2-1 in the ACC. After the weekend around the country, the Blue Devils are tied for first place in the ACC Coastal Division along with the North Carolina Tar Heels and Virginia Cavaliers.
