The former Duke Football quarterback Daniel Jones struggled on Thursday Night Football against the New England Patriots.

It was Daniel Jones‘ first primetime start, in Foxboro, against the New England Patriots, down several of his key players.

The game went about how you would expect it as Jones struggled and the Patriots, in the end, won rather comfortably with a 35-14 win.

Jones completed 15-of-31 passed for 161 yards, one touchdown, but three interceptions. The No. 6 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft also rushed twice for eight yards.

The New York Giants were without running backs Saquon Barkley and Wayne Gallman, wide receiver Sterling Shepard, and tight end Evan Engram in this game, all who did not dress due to various injuries.

After winning the first two starts of his NFL career over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Washington Redskins, Daniel Jones has dropped his next two starts against the Minnesota Vikings and New England Patriots.

On one positive note for Daniel Jones, he threw the first passing touchdown against the Patriots defense this season with a 64-yard touchdown pass to Golden Tate.

New York’s only other score in this game came on the defensive side of the ball in a 42-yard fumble recover run back for a touchdown.

The Giants were able to stay competitive in this game until the fourth quarter, as the team trailed 14-0 in the second quarter but battled back to trail 21-14 at halftime, only to go scoreless in the second half.

Through four games, the former Duke Football quarterback is completing 63.3% of his passes, averaging 184.2 yards per game and five total passing touchdowns and six interceptions.

At 2-4 on the season, things will get a little easier for the Giants as the lowly Arizona Cardinals will come to MetLife Stadium next week on Sunday, October 20 at 1:00pm EST as the game will be broadcasted on FOX.
