Quentin Harris named as Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award Finalist
Duke Football quarterback Quentin Harris was named as a finalist for the Johnny Units Golden Arm Award, given to the top senior quarterback in the country.
Quentin Harris has been a revelation for the Duke Football team both on and off the field this season.
The Blue Devils signal caller has been named as a finalist for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award which is annually given to the top senior quarterback in the country.

Harris, a red-shirt senior, has led the Blue Devils to a 3-2 record this season (1-1 in the ACC) and is completing 64.6% of his passes for a total of 1,007 yards, 11 touchdowns and four interceptions this season.
As a dual-threat quarterback, Harris also has 342 rushing yards and four touchdowns in five games this season.
While Harris has been sensational on thee field, the award is not for just excellence each and every Saturday, but for the player’s contributions off the field and in the classroom.
Quentin Harris is one of three ACC quarterbacks to be named to the Watch List, joining Virginia’s Bryce Perkins and Boston College’s Anthony Brown.
The current favorite to win the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award is Jalen Hurts of Oklahoma. Hurts is also a favorite to win the Heisman Trophy this season.
Since the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award was created in 1997, only one ACC quarterback has ever won the award which was Clemson’s Deshaun Watson back in 2016. Matt Ryan of Boston College won the award in 2007, but that was Boston College joined the ACC.
The Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award will be handed out on Wednesday, December 11 in Baltimore, Maryland.
