Kickoff time set for Duke Football’s showdown with the Virginia Cavaliers

The Duke Football team has a kickoff time for its showdown with the ACC Costal favorites, the Virginia Cavaliers.

The ACC announced on Monday afternoon that the Duke Blue Devils and the Virginia Cavaliers will kickoff at 3:30pm EST on October 19 from Scott Stadium in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Entering Week 7, the Cavaliers are ranked No. 20 in the Associated Press Top-25 Poll traveling down to South Beach to face the Miami Hurricanes on Friday night.

Virginia holds a 4-1 record with the only loss coming on the road against the then No. 9 Notre Dame Fighting Irish but wins over the Pittsburgh Panthers, William & Mary Tribe, the Florida State Seminoles, and Old Dominion.

Duke holds a 3-2 record with losses against the then No. 2 Alabama Crimson Tide and the Pittsburgh Panthers while beating North Carolina A&T, Middle Tennessee State, and the Virginia Tech Hokies.

Wins against Middle Tennessee and Virginia Tech came on the road for the Blue Devils.

Duke will host the lowly Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Saturday afternoon before shifting its focus to the Cavaliers.

Virginia currently holds the lead in the ACC Coastal Division with a 2-0 conference record over the North Carolina Tar Heels, Pittsburgh Panthers, and the Duke Blue Devils.

North Carolina has a 2-1 ACC record while the Panthers and Blue Devils both 1-1 in the conference.

In the series history between Duke and Virginia, the Cavaliers hold a 37-33 lead over the Blue Devils as Virginia has won four straight games in the series.

Prior to 2015, Duke had won three straight games over the Cavaliers and wins in six of the past seven seasons, dating back to 2008.

The Duke Blue Devils will try to right the ship and get a win against the Virginia Cavaliers on October 19 at 3:30pm EST from Scott Stadium, as the game will be broadcasted on the ACC Network.
