The former Duke Basketball star freshman and current Atlanta Hawks rookie forward Cam Reddish is cleared to fully participate in training camp.
Cam Reddish is finally ready to join the Atlanta Hawks on the court after getting cleared to participate in training camp.
The No. 10 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft underwent procedure to have a core muscle injury fixed prior to the draft and the anticipated timeline was for the former Duke Blue Devil to be fully cleared in six weeks.

The Atlanta Hawks released medical updates on Friday morning saying Reddish will participate in training camp, but his management will be monitored leading up to the regular season.
Prior to the procedure it was reported that the injury had been bothering Reddish throughout his one season at Duke after he suffered a rib injury in preseason practice and sat out of the Blue Devils’ Sweet 16 victory due to an injury.
While in Durham, the silky forward played in 36 out of 38 possible games, while averaging 13.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.6 steals per game. Reddish shot 35.6% from the field and 33.3% from 3-point range.
The Norristown, Pennsylvania native was the No. 3 overall recruit entering Duke, according to ESPN and 247 Sports, while he was also a McDonald’s All-American and Mr. Pennsylvania Basketball in 2018, an award given to the best high school basketball player in the state.
Cam Reddish was the second, first round pick the Hawks selected in the 2019 Draft as with the No. 4 overall pick Atlanta took Reddish’s ACC foe, De’Andre Hunter from Virginia.
The Atlanta Hawks will hold its Media Day on Monday, September 30 before training camp starts on Tuesday, October 1.
Cam Reddish and the Atlanta Hawks will have its first NBA preseason game on Monday, October 7 against Reddish’s college teammate, Zion Williamson, and the New Orleans Pelicans in Atlanta at 7:30pm EST.
The Hawks will begin its regular season on Thursday, October 24 on the road against the Detroit Pistons at 7:00pm EST.
