The Duke Football team had an offensive explosion against Middle Tennessee on Saturday night en route to an impressive victory.

The Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders drove right down the field on the opening possession and had to settle for the field goal and take a 3-0 lead.

Unfortunately for the Blue Raiders, that would be just about the only positive of the evening as Quentin Harris and the Duke Blue Devils offense would take over from that point.

Duke scored 34 straight points, taking a 31-3 lead into half and then kicking a field goal to start the second half, running away to a 41-18 victory.

Harris was an amazing 24-of-27 for 237 yards and four touchdowns with 107 rushing yards, but perhaps more impressive than Harris’ outing was the work of the Blue Devils receivers.

Quentin Harris completed a pass to eight different Blue Devils with Aaron Young and Jalon Calhoun leading the way with six receptions each.

Young reeled in two touchdown passes while Calhoun and Eli Pancol caught one touchdown each. Deon Jackson found the end zone on the ground as the All-ACC running back rushed for 71 yards on 22 carries.

Brittain Brown did not play for Duke after suffering an injury last week in the win over North Carolina A&T.

Duke’s defense did not force a turnover, but the Blue Devils were quick to the football and attacking Middle Tennessee as Dylan Singleton and Koby Quansah led the way with eight tackles each.

Middle Tennessee dropped to 1-2 after the game with both losses coming against Power-5 teams in Duke and the Michigan Wolverines.
