Tip-off time set for Duke vs. Kansas in Champions Classic at MSG

The Duke Basketball team has an official start time to its 2019-2020 season as ESPN has announced the tip-off times for the Champions Classic.

The 2019-22 Duke Basketball season will officially begin at 7:00pm EST on Tuesday, November 5.

ESPN announced the times for the 2019 State Farm Champions Classic and the Duke Blue Devils and Kansas Jayhawks will be taking the court at Madison Square Garden in the early window.

The Kentucky Wildcats and Michigan State Spartans will take the floor at approximately 9:30pm EST.

All four teams are expected to be in the Top-5 of the Associated Press Top-25 poll when it is released.

Duke is coming off a season in which it lost to the Spartans in the Elite Eight by one point but will not return its top three leading scorers in Zion Williamson, R.J. Barrett, and Cam Reddish, who were all selected within the Top-10 of the 2019 NBA Draft.

Mike Krzyzewski brings in a highly rated recruiting class led by Vernon Carey Jr., along with Matthew Hurt, Wendell Moore, and Cassius Stanley.

Most importantly the Blue Devils will return one of its freshmen from last season in Tre Jones who could be in the running for the National Player of the Year Award.

The point guard averaged 9.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 1.9 steals per game in his first season in Durham.

Kansas is coming off a season where the Jayhawks saw its 12-year streak of Big 12 Regular Season Championships come to an end and Bill Self‘s team lost in the Round of 32 to the Auburn Tigers in the NCAA Tournament.

The Jayhawks will look to be led by Devon Dotson and Udoka Azubuike this season in an attempt to re-claim the Big 12 crown.

The 2019-20 non-conference schedule is out for the Duke Blue Devils and the entire schedule will be released on Thursday at 9:00pm EST in an exclusive reveal show on the ACC Network.
