Marcus Stroman leaves start after four innings with hamstring tightness
Former Duke Baseball star pitcher Marcus Stroman was removed from his start on Wednesday against the Cleveland Indians due to an injury.
In his second home start at Citi Field with the New York Mets, Marcus Stroman had to leave the game much earlier than he would have liked.
According to the Mets broadcast team on SNY, the former Blue Devil was removed after the fourth inning due to left hamstring tightness.

In his four innings of work, Stroman allowed five hits and one run while walking and striking out just one batter.
The trade deadline acquisition of the Mets only got one at-bat on the evening and struck out against Cleveland Indians starting pitcher Adam Plutko.
Stroman left the game while the Mets were down 1-0 but a scoreless inning from Jeurys Familia followed by an RBI double from Juan Lagares tied things up and got the New York native off the hook for a potential loss.
The Mets went on to defeat the Indians 4 -3 in ten innings thanks to a J.D. Davis walk-off single
New York moves to 66-60 on the season, one and a half games behind the St. Louis Cardinals for the second Wild Card spot in the National League and nine games behind the Atalanta Braves for the lead in the National League East.
In four starts with the Mets, Stroman remains 1-0 with a 5.17 ERA and this season with New York and the Toronto Blue Jays, Stroman is 7-11 with a 3.18 ERA.
While with the Blue Jays, Stroman was sidelined for a short amount of time with a strained pectoral muscle that kept him from playing in his first All-Star Game appearance in July.
Pending more news on Marcus Stroman’s hamstring injury, his next scheduled start is supposed to be on Tuesday, August 27 against the Chicago Cubs at Citi Field starting at 7:10pm EST.
