Jahlil Okafor continues offseason working out with Anthony Davis

Former Duke Basketball star Jahlil Okafor has continued his off-season with Anthony Davis as the two have been working out together.

Former NBA teammates Jahlil Okafor and Anthony Davis have been spending some time on and off the court together this off-season.

Back on August 7, Okafor posted several pictures on Instagram of him hanging out with Davis along side Frank Jackson and Jrue Holiday.

All four players were teammates with the New Orleans Pelicans last season before Davis was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers on June 15.

Despite Davis’ trade request, the former Kentucky and Duke big men have stayed in touch and continue to build their relationship.

On Monday evening video emerged of Davis, Okafor, and Holiday working out together in Los Angeles in front of Lakers new head coach Frank Vogel.

The video is catered to Davis’ offensive prowess as he only shown with the ball in his hands.

The 6-foot-10 big man only played in 56 games last season for the Pelicans but averaged 25.9 points , 12.0 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.6 steals, and 2.4 blocks per game.

In his seven year career in New Orleans, the former No. 1 pick in the 2012 NBA Draft is a six-time All-Star and three-time All-NBA player while averaging 23.7 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.4 assists, and 2.4 blocks per game.

As for Okafor, he enters his second full season with the Pelicans after coming off a year in which he saw action in 59 games, averaging 8.2 points and 4.7 rebounds.

A 2015 National Champion was the No. 3 overall selection in the 2015 NBA Draft where he spent two and a half seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers and then a half a season with the Brooklyn Nets.

In his NBA career the former Blue Devil has averaged 11.5 points and 5.1 rebounds per game.

Jahlil Okafor, Jrue Holiday, and Frank Jackson will get their first look at Anthony Davis in his new Purple and Gold uniform as the Lakers travel to New Orleans on November 27.
