Potential future Blue Devils teaming up one year early in high school
Two potential Duke Basketball players are teaming up one year early in high school before the duo could bring their talents to Durham.
Jalen Johnson is already committed to Duke, but the No. 4 player in the Class of 2020, according to 247 Sports just made another commitment on Monday afternoon.
Multiple outlets have reported that Johnson will be transferring from Nicolet High School to IMG Academy for his senior season.

The defending GEICO National Champions also received a commitment from four-star 2020 center Mark Williams who announced over the weekend that Duke was in his ‘Top 7’ schools.
Duke appears to be the favorite to land Williams and Johnson said in an interview last week that he was going to try and recruit the Virginia native to Durham.
Well, going to the same high school with Mark Williams for one season is a pretty good start in Jalen Johnson’s recruiting efforts.
Williams is the No. 37 overall player in the Class of 2020 on 247 Sports and the 7-footer will be manning the paint in Florida this season.
IMG will be Jalen Johnson’s third high school as he also attended Sun Prairie High School along with Nicolet.
While Mike Krzyzewski already has Jalen Johnson coming in to Durham next season, the Blue Devils have also landed a commitment from Jeremy Roach and are still pursing Ziaire Williams, Walker Kessler, D.J. Steward, and Henry Coleman.
IMG Academy will be loaded once again this season but more importantly for Duke fans, the powerhouse could the beginning of, hopefully National Championship No. 7, in the 2020-21 season.
If Mark Williams and Jalen Johnson could build a strong chemistry at IMG Academy, that could roll over right to Durham, assuming Williams makes that commitment to Coach K.
Duke fans should be giddy about the early pairing of Johnson and Williams and what it could mean for the future of both players.
